The flu season is in full swing and so is the winter season, but those sniffles and achy muscles don’t necessarily indicate the onset of a flu or cold. It’s easy to confuse symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning for a virus. The winter months increase the potential for carbon monoxide poisoning because that is when fuel such as gas, oil, kerosene, wood and charcoal are burned to heat homes. Infants, the elderly, people with anemia or with a history of heart or respiratory disease are especially susceptible. Read more

Drug-resistant H1N1 Virus Mutation Cases Increasing, May Be Associated With More Deaths
Filed Under Bird Flu, H1N1, Influenza, Pandemic, Swine Flu, Ukraine, Vaccines | 1 Comment
The drug-resistant H1N1 virus mutation, identified as H274Y or H275Y is becoming more widespread, as reported by the CDC Week 48 H1N1 activity update. Identification of new cases of this Tamiflu-resistant swine flu strain has been increasing in recent weeks. At the same time, swine flu deaths have also been increasing, even as all other influenza activity indicators are decreasing. This may be the result of the combination of drug-resistant swine flu with the D225G H1N1 mutation which causes lung hemorrhaging. Read more

Does Tamiflu Work?

This week, the British medical journal BMJ published a multi-part investigation that confirms that the scientific evidence just isn’t there to show that Tamiflu prevents serious complications, hospitalization, or death in people that have the flu. The BMJ goes further to suggest that Roche, the Swiss company that manufactures and markets Tamiflu, may have misled governments and physicians. In its defense, Roche stated that the company “has never concealed (or had the intention to conceal) any pertinent data.” Read more

Waiting for conventional medicine to accept the many benefits of natural alternatives can be frustrating to say the least. But occasionally there is light at the end of the tunnel. A recent article showed a few doctors are finally accepting the benefits of Vitamin D in curing and preventing cancer by prescribing it to their patients. In today’s traditional healthcare, side stepping “Big Pharma” is quite a remarkable feat. Which is why at HFA we find it refreshing to come across Dr. Brady Hurst.
In dealing with H1N1 Swine flu, Dr. Brady strongly recommends taking Vitamin D, avoiding processed foods and taking MMS (Chlorine Dioxide.) Click below to view a video of Dr. Brady explaining how MMS works. Read more

China Worried About Swine And Bird Flu Mutation
Filed Under Bird Flu, H1N1, Influenza, Pandemic, Swine Flu | Leave a Comment
China must be alert to any mutation or changes in the behavior of the H1N1 swine flu virus because the far deadlier H5N1 bird flu virus is endemic in the country, a leading Chinese disease expert said. Zhong Nanshan, director of the Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Diseases in China’s southern Guangdong province, said the presence of both viruses in China meant they could mix and become a monstrous hybrid — a bug packed with strong killing power that can transmit efficiently among people.
